Entrance exams test candidates’ knowledge of English or German. An additional test in French may be requested depending on the candidate’s background and education.

The exams are organised by the SIS teachers and the French teachers from the middle school. The admission jury’s decision is final and is presided over by the Head master/mistress.

Exam dates
Candidates are advised to register for tests at least one month prior to testing date.
Regular exam sessions :
- 1st year secondary: Friday, 9 March, 2012
- 2nd, 3rd and 4th year: Monday 19 March, 2012
For families arriving from abroad with children taking tests at different levels, it is possible for all the children to be tested on the same day. Please contact the office for more information.
Additional exam sessions for levels that still have openings have been organised for

- all levels Friday, 29 June 2012
- all levels
Experience has shown that all available spaces may be filled at some levels during the regular exam session. It is strongly recommended that candidates sign up for the April session. For the June and August sessions we recommend that candidates contact the SIS office by e-mail to verify what openings remain.
Organisation: The exams generally start at 8 am and are over by the end of the morning except for candidates taking the French exams who will finish later in the afternoon.
