As Great British tradition would have it, wellington boots were stacked, for the deft and dexterous sport of ‘wellie throwing’. Sponges were wetted in the aim of catching Mr Tidmarsh ‘full on’. Piñatas awaited the happy child who would strike the ultimate blow. All this and lots more besides.
Yes, time for the annual primary school summer fair...
Parents, staff and face-painted, nail-varnish-sporting children alike enjoyed the array of activities and refreshments, along with the chance to stock up from bookstands run by Louise Spencer (second hand books) and WH Smiths (supplying holiday reading material).

A cheque for over 1400€ was handed to Mme Videau of Enfance Espoir, representing the sum raised for our project to help primary schools in Madagascar. Fundraising included sponsored reading, sale of the P2 SIS cook book, P6 and P4 bake sales, class photos and donations. Well done to all involved.

Jenny Kim, a P6 teacher, leaves us to further her CAPES studies. Lucky will be the children who have her as a future teacher.
Avona Rebours, with us for the past 19 years, a stalwart member of the SIS staff, retires to enjoy a well-earned rest. She will be sorely missed. We wish them both all the very best.
Happy holidays everybody.
