Les élèves doivent déjà parler couramment anglais |
- Candidates will be asked to read a text aloud and then they will be asked questions on this text.
- They will then be engaged in general conversation and/or a discussion arising from the text.
How to help candidates to prepare for the test :
- Read with them regularly
- Encourage them to read aloud for you on a regular basis
- Speak English with them as often as possible
- Have them watch films in English as often as possible
- Practise dictations to help them write and spell correctly
Suggested workbooks to help with spelling and grammar :
Oxford Spelling Workbook (levels 1 -5)
Grammar 3 - Jennifer Seidl (Oxford)
For Lycée classes
- The Written counts for 40 and the Oral counts for 20
- The Written is based, as for the Collège, on a Composition, on Language Exercises (of roughly Cambridge First Certificate/Advanced level), and a History-Geography comprehension.
- The Oral is similar in format to the Oral described above.
