After reading the opening paragraphs of Akimbo and the Elephants by Alexander McCall Smith, P4 Integrated were asked to draw a picture, using information from the text, to show where Akimbo lived.

Diet
Elephants are herbivores because they do not eat meat. They eat trees, tall grass, roots and fruits.

Behavior
Elephants live in herds. The cow takes care of the calf. Elephants can even remember where their parents died.

Elephants damage trees. They either roll their trunks around the tree and pull or put their tusks and push. They scare some animals but not all. Lions are scared of BIG elephants but small elephants are scared of lions.
