Being on the other side of the world was an amazing experience.
Arriving in a big airport by myself and finding my exchange student was quite a challenging start, but once we met, everything became easier. She and her mother gave me a warm welcome.
Arriving during their holidays allowed us plenty of time to get to know each other. We went to the mountains where we fed very colourful parrots. We had fun there but we were both scared of birds!
She also took me to an Australian football match and presented me to her friends, which put me directly into the Australian ambiance.
We visited the town with her amazing friend who taught me a lot about Melbourne. We went to the beach, to Sorrento, a really calm, relaxing place and to Phillip Island where we saw possums and penguins.
We also visited an animal sanctuary in Melbourne at Hillsville where I saw different Australian animals (koalas, possums, kangaroos ...) this day was fantastic.
Now I am back in Sevres, but I won’t forget those amazing and funny moments I had there with my exchange student and all her friends.
Australia is a really nice country where people are very open.
I can’t wait for her to come over, so that I can show her Paris and France!!!
