By Laurence Warin (Coomoora Exchange)
I had a great opportunity to participate in the Australian exchange. I spent 3 weeks of fun and discovery, improving my English at the same time.
My correspondent and I had much in common and I got to know her very well and shared her daily life at school. Coomoora Secondary College is a school with a lot of liberty, because the teachers are close to the students, and the atmosphere is not as strict as in France.
A main difference at school is the uniform, which every student has to wear, though it is a public school. There are two subjects we don’t have in France : outdoor education, which teaches how to deal with nature, and cooking.
People in Australia are very welcoming and sweet, and Melbourne is full of entertaining things.
Finally, thank you so much again to the Hill family: Amanda, Allan, Sue and Paul. I will never forget how sweet, patient and generous you were to me.
