Carolling at lunchtime during the last week of term has become a traditional activity for Candi Buxton’s SIS choir. This year a collaboration with the French music teachers Mr. Brassard and Mr. Cabon brought together both choirs, performing for each other and for members of staff on December 12th. The Première Trip to Berlin was blessed this year with sunshine and 24 ever-eager students who were on the go for a full five-day regime of walking tours, museum visits, and cultural activities in and around the city.

Vicki and I were delighted with the pupils who are to be complimented for their friendliness, enthusiasm and compliance. Guides Joyce and Martin were determined that we should learn and experience as much as possible in the short time we were in Ireland, and I think we all returned with very valuable memories. Thanks to our 26 culture-vultures for looking after us – you were a lovely group!

This year’s choir performance under the sign of 1970’s glamour, included classic hit songs from ’Queen’. Parents also joined in with some ’Saturday Night Fever’ disco dancing.

On Friday June 3rd, 69 5ème students returned tired but happy from their Dorset trip. Organised by Mr Griffiths and Mr Black, the week long field trip to the PGL centre at Osmington Bay was accompanied by Miss May, Mrs Renier, Mrs Boussageon and Mrs Cretaigne.
